Family Sessions FAQs:

When should I book my baby a sitter session?

There is no bad time to book your baby’s sitter session. As babies get older and more aware of their surroundings we can capture such wonderful expressions. Whether baby has mastered sitting all on their own or still enjoying tummy time and stretching out on their back we can create beautiful pictures for you to treasure and share with your loved ones.

Who are Portrait sessions for?

Anyone can book a portrait session – they can be to celebrate a birthday, to capture fine art pictures of yourself, a child, or loved one, to show sibling’s connection, or even to announce an engagement. We can create a bespoke portrait session just for you.

Where will my photoshoot take place?

Your session will take place in my fully equipped home studio. If you prefer, we can arrange photographs on location, or a lifestyle shoot in your home.

Can we discuss the type of family session we wish to book and the style of the photographs?

Yes, we will have a consultation before you book your session to discuss the style of photos you would like to capture. This is a perfect time to get your inspiration too and we will also advise on things like outfit choices etc.

How long will the sitter/portrait session last?

Sitter and portrait sessions generally last 1-2 hours. We want to capture the perfect photographs though so we do not rush things, so please always allow for a little extra time at the end of your session incase.

How should I/we prepare for the photoshoot?

Once you have booked, we will send on a document containing helpful tips on how to prepare for your upcoming session. We are always happy to answer any questions you have prior to your session so please do not worry.

What days and times are available?

Sitter and portrait sessions are generally scheduled later in the afternoon on weekdays, and throughout the day at weekends. We are happy to accommodate a time that is convenient for you.

What does the session fee cover?

The non-refundable session fee covers your initial consultation, the sitter or portrait session, use of any outfits or props, and time for editing the images in your print gallery. This session fee will be deducted from any packages purchased.

What is the proof gallery?

Your proof gallery will be a private gallery on my website where you can view the images from your session. You can then choose which images you wish to purchase as part of your package.

When will my proof gallery be available?

I will contact you when your proof gallery is ready – this is normally around 14 days after your session. Your proof gallery will be available for a period of 14 days for you to choose your images. If you would prefer to attend a viewing session (in person or online) instead please let me know.

Do you offer additional prints and other products?

You can order as many additional prints as required, and I also offer a range of additional products such as bespoke albums, photo books, and wall art.

When will my digital images, prints and additional products be ready/delivered?

Your high resolution digital images will be available for download within five days of you placing your order. Prints, wall art and other products are usually delivered between 2-4 weeks after your order has been placed – I will discuss delivery methods and times beforehand.

Do you provide raw, unedited files?

I am afraid that I cannot provide RAW files. I will deliver the retouched images for your use, as these are the final product and reflect the quality of my creative work.
